Because the rate is your country’s, not ours, and it ranges from 17% to 27% across the EU. Stripe is the merchant of record: it calculates and remits your local VAT and issues the invoice. The Spanish figures above are worked examples at 21%.
No. Every request is read and answered by hand, and the answer is sometimes no — a name outside the method, or one where the data is too thin to value honestly. You are told which, and why. Individuals get one request a year; a firm licence gets five.
