Why there is no cookie banner on this site. This site uses no analytics, no advertising, no social media widgets and no third-party tracking of any kind. The only cookie it sets is the one that keeps you logged in. Art. 22.2 LSSI-CE exempts storage that is «estrictamente necesario… para la prestación de un servicio de la sociedad de la información expresamente solicitado por el destinatario», and the AEPD's own guide lists session authentication cookies as exempt. A banner asking you to consent to something there is no lawful alternative to would be theatre, so there isn't one. This page is the transparency you are still owed.

The site is delivered through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare's security layer may set its own short-lived cookies — typically __cf_bm (bot management, about 30 minutes) and, if you are ever shown a challenge, cf_clearance. These are security cookies: they distinguish a human browser from an automated one and stop the site being scraped or knocked over. They are not used for analytics, profiling or advertising, they carry no identifier that means anything to me, and I cannot read them. They fall within the same strictly-necessary exemption. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking ie_session will not break the public site — the home page, the coverage list, the track record, the calendar and the free sample all work — but you will not be able to stay logged in to paid reports, because that cookie is the login.
The ie_session cookie contains your email address, which is personal data. How that is handled — the legal basis, who else sees it, how long it is kept, and your rights — is set out in the privacy policy.
If a cookie is ever added to this site, this page will be updated before it is, and if the new cookie is not strictly necessary you will be asked for consent properly — with a refuse option as easy to use as the accept one.
